TAMMIN REGIONAL WASTE PROCESSING SITE
The Shire of Tammin hereby gives Public Notice that the Tammin Regional Waste Processing Site will
have amended hours of public access, improved security to the control of waste being deposited at
the Waste Site and staffing of the Waste Site to improve service delivery and improved management
practices to further develop the site as a Regional Waste Processing Site.
The following are the changes to take affect from 1st JULY 2005 are summarized hereunder;
1. Opening Hours – 7.30am to 5.00pm on nominated opening days
2. Nominated Opening Days – Saturday, Sunday and Mondays weekly
3. Closed Access Days – Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday weekly
4. Approved/Authorised Site Contractor – Mr Steve Williams or his nominated representative
of City and Regional Waste Management 5. Site Security – the site shall be locked at the entry point at all times unless a pre-arranged or
agreed service delivery appointment from a major commercial contractor is made. 6. Staffing – City and Regional Waste Management will be responsible for the operational cost of
the employee to staff the Tammin Regional Waste Processing Site at no cost to the Council. 7. Nominated Major Commercial Contractors- nominated outside commercial contractors Avon
Waste, Wren Oil and CBH are provided access as required by prior arrangements with the Waste Site Contractor. 8. Resident Access – Residents within the Shire are encouraged to access the Waste Site
during the nominated days at the nominated times at no cost as tip fees are waived for the next financial year of the Council. 9. Contact Number – Steve Williams of City and Regional Waste Management on mobile 0428
884 481 10. Waste Collected – includes all domestic, commercial, builders, farm and industrial including
farm machinery (dependant upon size may involve onsite pickup by prior arrangement). 11. General – Council has supported the authorized Waste Site Contractor to improve orderly
receival of all waste and agreement has been reached in terms of Liability matters and Department of Environment Waste Site Licensing conditions being met by both the Council and the appointed Waste Site Contractor jointly. The changes adopted by the Council is to allow the Waste Site Contractor to improve the orderly development and receival of waste agreed to by both parties and to allow improved access and security over the site in order to protect Councils license conditions, protect the assets of the Contractor and to improve revenue from this facility to the Council and the Community. Residents are encouraged to note the opening times, days and date of introduction for the changes to take affect. Please note the Waste Site Contractor will be introducing further improvements to recycling and waste separation over the next 6 months with Community and Council support for the agreed initiatives.
